Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CartoonPerson (cartoonperson.net), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

CartoonPerson is an AI-powered service that transforms photographs into cartoon-style portraits. We offer 24 unique art styles including 3D animation, anime, watercolor, pixel art, and more. The service is available via our website. Image generation is powered by Google's Gemini image model family (the “Nano Banana” series — currently Nano Banana 2, with Gemini image models as fallback), accessed through third-party AI infrastructure providers. The specific model version may change as better models become available.

User Accounts

  • You may sign in using Google authentication or email to access premium features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one account.

Acceptable Use & Prohibited Content

You must not upload photos or use the service to generate images that contain or depict any of the following:

  • Sexual or NSFW content — pornography, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive imagery, or nudity
  • Violence or gore — graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or content that glorifies or incites violence
  • Hate speech — content that demeans or promotes hatred against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected attribute
  • Child-unsafe content — any sexualized or exploitative depiction of minors (CSAM) or content that endangers children. We report suspected CSAM to the relevant authorities.
  • Deepfakes or impersonation — depictions of real people without their consent, content that impersonates any person, or content intended to mislead or deceive
  • Copyright or trademark infringement — content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party

You also agree NOT to:

  • Upload photos of others without their consent
  • Upload or generate any other illegal or harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models or algorithms
  • Use automated tools to bulk-process images without authorization
  • Circumvent usage limits, credit systems, safety filters, or security measures
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission

Intellectual Property

  • Your Photos — You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process them for cartoon generation.
  • Generated Images — You own the cartoon portraits generated from your photos and may use them for personal or commercial purposes.
  • Our Service — The CartoonPerson platform, AI models, website design, and branding are our intellectual property.

Credits and Payments

  • CartoonPerson uses a credit-based system. Each cartoon generation consumes credits.
  • Registration is free. Credits are obtained by subscribing to a Pro plan (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period and can be canceled anytime from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • All payments are processed securely by our merchant of record, Waffo.com Limited, which also handles order-related inquiries and refunds.
  • Credits granted with a subscription are valid for the billing period they were granted in (one month for Pro Monthly, one year for Pro Yearly).
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if credits have not been used.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

Content Moderation & Reporting

Uploaded photos and generation requests pass through the automated safety filters of our AI model providers, which are designed to block the prohibited categories listed above. Content flagged by these filters or by user reports is additionally reviewed manually. We reserve the right to reject or remove any content that violates these terms or applicable laws, and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies.

Reporting violations — if you encounter generated content that you believe violates these terms, please report it to support@cartoonperson.net with the subject line “Content Report”, including a link or screenshot of the content. Every report is reviewed by a human, typically within 72 hours. If a violation is confirmed, we will remove the content and take appropriate action against the responsible account, up to and including permanent suspension.

Limitation of Liability

CartoonPerson is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CartoonPerson, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable international laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
